When recruiting we are looking for people who are reliable, adaptable and trustworthy, who will be able to work alongside our existing team members and who can clearly demonstrate a commitment to quality of workmanship and ideally possess previous working at height experience. TrainingEvery employee of UK Gutter Maintenance is directly employed and all on-site personnel attend an intensive three day safety induction for working at height, which is undertaken by our dedicated Health and Safety Manager at our Head Office in Catterick. Following our in-depth induction process new employees are supervised on site by fully experienced operatives for an appropriate period as deemed necessary. During the course of their training and thereafter, on-site tool box talks are conducted and our Health and Safety Manager monitors the work on a regular basis. A training programme is in place to ensure all relevant employees hold appropriate skill cards, such as IPAF or equivalent and all on-site personnel are trained and certified first aiders. Every 6-12 months we hold a forum where Health and Safety matters, including training are discussed.
