Testing and re-testing of Safety Wire Systems |
UK Gutter Maintenance are delighted to announce a partnering agreement with Eurosafe Solutions, specialists in the installation and re-testing of safety wire systems throughout the UK.
By having your safety wire system tested at the same time as having your gutters cleaned substantial cost savings can be passed on to you. In accordance with Health and Safety requirements Eurosafe Solutions and indeed any safety wire testing company must have two operatives on site to undertake the re-test. However if you have these works carried out in conjunction with a gutter clean, Eurosafe Solutions will only need to send one team member as UK Gutter Maintenance will already have two operatives on site. Furthermore there will be no requirement for any hired in access equipment costs, as we provide a 16.5 m boom van as a standard piece of access equipment.
Under BS EN795 It is a legislative requirement that fall protection solutions are tested and re-certified annually by suitably qualified personnel. Eurosafe Solutions Ltd has a team dedicated to the test and inspection of fall protection systems and associated personal protective equipment (PPE). The site engineers are backed by a dedicated team of office staff, who oversee every stage of the contract.
Legislation states that:
- Fall protection systems should be tested every 12 months (BS EN 795)
- PPE should be inspected every 12 months (BS EN 365)
- Eyebolts should be tested every 12 months (EN 795 & BS 7883)
- Abseil Anchors should be tested every 6 months (EN 795 & BS 7883)
With 10 years of experience in their fall protection industry, Eurosafe Solutions understand the headache involved in meeting this legal obligation and that is why a dedicated team offer a nationwide service, specifically structured to manage the test and inspection works to your buildings.
Our proven service includes:
- Working with you to establish a register of all properties where a cable based fall protection exists.
- Establishing a test and inspection regime for these systems.
- Sending out a reminder to you 2 months prior to the date of inspection, quoting a price for the works.
- Contacting the individual property manager as the test due date approaches, produce appropriate method statements and risk assessments and attend site in a self-contained manner to undertake the works.
- Issuing test certificate and a detailed report listing any problems and/or defects upon completion of the test and inspection.
- Repeating this process year upon year, thus affording the client “peace of mind”.
