Our planned maintenance gutter cleaning service covers the whole of the UK and for a wide and varied number of clients.
Our experience in gutter cleaning extends to all types of properties including retail parks; National chain retail and industrial outlets; distribution centres and warehouses; universities and colleges; hospitals and even football grounds.
Upon receipt of an initial enquiry we will work with you to tailor a package that suits your exact specification and requirements. All works are allocated a named Project Manager and are carried out by experienced two man teams who are directly employed and uniformed and fully qualified for working at height.
All Working Supervisors are IPAF trained or similar and are first aiders. All teams are supplied with liveried 16.5 m boom vans as a standard piece of access equipment and are fully equipped with specialist safety equipment, particularly for undertaking works on fragile roofs or where sky lights are present. Additional equipment is resourced to suit each individual task and the appropriate team members are deployed to deliver a bespoke service to our clients’ individual requirements.
Prior to any works commencing a risk assessment form is completed which we will ask your Health and Safety representative to sign to confirm they are happy for the works to proceed in the agreed manner. Any Health and Safety set up requirements are dealt with by our in-house Health and Safety Manager who also carries out regular safety audits.
Should you have any safety wire systems on any of your properties these will need to hold a current certificate before they can be used to access the gutters. We have a partnership agreement with Eurosafe Solutions whereby substantial cost savings can be passed onto any clients who have their safety wire system tested at the same time as carrying out their gutter clean. Communication with our clients is a key to our ongoing success and we will endeavour to keep you fully informed of our progress before, during and upon completion of the work. Should there be any minor defects found during the course of the works, wherever possible these are rectified before we leave the site. Within 7 days of the works being carried out, digital before and after photographs of works are always provided together with reports upon on any major defects found or areas of concern.
Paul Blair states that, “Our clients acknowledge that the procedure of the provision of photographs is very effective and is the only way that they can actually see that the works have been carried out. Unfortunately in our industry there are too many people that do not do the work they have been contracted in to do. There have been many occasions when we have found that the last company employed to do the gutter clean or repair work had not done it properly, if at all.”
Major gutter defects are likely to include extensive joint sealing and/or the requirement for a gutter surface treatment where the galvanized steel has been identified as corroded, flaking and brittle. We can offer various economical options for gutter surface treatments and in situations where the gutters are too deteriorated for these types of works a gutter lining system may be recommended.
Major roofing works may include full sky light replacement, cut edge corrosion works, roof coatings or flat roof repairs etc. These types of roofing works will be undertaken by our specialist roofing contractor First 4 Maintenance who provides cost-effective long term solutions for most roofing problems. In all cases we will be happy to provide a quotation for the repairs to be rectified in the most economical way possible, as our clients’ will testify or alternatively we will be happy for you to obtain prices independently.
